How to Configure Daily Rotation and Excluded Weekend Days

This document will help you learn how to configure daily rotation and excluded weekend days in Attendico ATS Cloud. Daily rotation advances through the group’s shifts after a specified number of counted days. The administrator may exclude Saturdays, Sundays or both from the interval calculation.

What is this feature used for?

Use daily rotation for repeating cycles measured in days rather than whole weeks. Weekend exclusions affect the rotation counter, so they should be chosen deliberately.

Before you begin

  • A saved group with at least two shifts.
  • Manual Planning disabled.
  • A defined order of shifts in the group.

Options and fields explained

By Days
Activates daily-count rotation.
Shift Rotation Period
Number of counted days before moving to the next shift.
Exclude Saturday / Exclude Sunday
Prevents selected weekend days from being counted toward the rotation interval.
Rotation Cycle Start
Optional date reference; for the daily mode, the UI describes a default start when left blank.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Open the saved group in Shifts and Groups.
  2. Enable Rotating Group and select By Days.
  3. Enter a positive Shift Rotation Period in days.
  4. Decide whether Saturday should count toward the interval, and set Exclude Saturday accordingly.
  5. Decide the same for Sunday.
  6. Choose a Rotation Cycle Start if the cycle needs an explicit anchor.
  7. Arrange the shift sequence using Shift Rotation Order.
  8. Save the group.
  9. Review a date range that includes weekends in Planner to confirm the counting behavior.

What happens after saving?

Attendico calculates the next position in the shift sequence using the chosen interval and excluded-day rules.
