In this document you will learn how to assign and manage nfc cards for a worker in Attendico ATS Cloud. The NFC Cards section of a saved worker profile stores the physical card identifiers that ATS Cloud can associate with that worker. A single worker can have more than one card.
What is this feature used for?
Use this when employees identify themselves with physical NFC cards or tags on compatible attendance equipment. The backend associates each unique card UID with one worker.
Before you begin
- The worker must already be created and saved.
- Have the UID of the physical card available in the format accepted by the application.
- Ensure the same UID has not been assigned to another worker.
Options and fields explained
- UID
- Unique identifier of the NFC credential; it is globally unique across workers.
- Label
- Optional human-readable description to distinguish cards or tags.
- Active
- Controls whether a stored credential is enabled.
- Maintains existing card records.
Step-by-step procedure
- Open Workers and edit the saved worker profile.
- Scroll to Physical NFC Cards.
- Enter the card UID and, optionally, a helpful label.
- Select Add Card.
- Confirm the card appears in the worker’s card list.
- To change a card, use the row’s edit controls; update its UID, label or active state and save.
- To remove a card that should no longer be assigned, use the row’s delete action and confirm.
- If assigning a replacement card, review the old credential’s status so only intended cards remain active.
What happens after saving?
The UID is now associated with that worker for supported NFC attendance methods.
Important notes and common mistakes
- Duplicate UIDs cannot be assigned to different workers.
