In this document we will help you understand what an ATS Cloud administrator role controls, including access permissions separate from a worker’s schedule. An Access User has a role selected when the account is created or edited. Roles govern administrative access and are distinct from employee shift assignments.
What is this option for?
Use roles to give each administrator appropriate access for their responsibilities.
Before you begin
- Permission to manage Access Users.
- A current list of available roles in the user editor.
Understanding the controls
- Role
- Selected administrative role.
- User Account
- Named sign-in account for ATS Cloud.
- Workers
- Separate employee profiles, not administrator accounts.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open Access Users.
- Click Add User or Edit on an existing administrator.
- Review the currently selected Role.
- Choose the role appropriate to that person’s duties.
- Check other identity fields so you are editing the intended account.
- Save the changes.
- Have the administrator sign in to confirm that the expected modules are accessible.
- If access is unexpectedly missing, inspect the role and license entitlements.
What happens next?
The selected role is saved to the administrative account.
