Planner distinguishes shifts generated from a fixed employee setting, group rotation and explicit manual overrides. These indicators help explain why a worker appears on a particular date.
What is this option for?
Use them when troubleshooting unexpected assignments before changing the underlying schedule.
Before you begin
- A group and employees with saved shift assignments.
- Load the relevant date in Planner.
Understanding the controls
- Fixed Shift
- Indicates an employee-level fixed-shift arrangement.
- Manual Override
- Marks an explicit date-level adjustment.
- Rotation
- Shows the group uses automatic rotation.
- Manual Schedule
- Shows the group is manually planned.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open Planner and choose a group.
- Set the date interval, then select Show.
- Inspect the group planning-mode badge.
- Locate the affected worker and date.
- Read any Fixed Shift or Manual Override indicator on the entry.
- If the worker is fixed, open Workers to review Always Keep This Shift.
- If the group is rotating, inspect its Rotation Order and Current Shift.
- If the entry is manually overridden, inspect change history or the reset control before changing it.
What happens next?
The badges help identify where the visible assignment originated.
Important notes
- Indicators do not replace the history or attendance registers.
- Do not assume a manually planned group assigns every worker manually: fixed-shift exceptions are supported.
