A saved shift contains workday, time, break and calculation settings. The shift editor also offers a delete action for an existing shift. In this document you will learn how to edit or delete a shift definition in Attendico ATS Cloud.
Purpose and explanation
Edit an incorrect working timetable instead of creating duplicate definitions. Deletion should be used cautiously when a shift is already used by workers or history.
Before you begin
- A saved group containing a shift.
- Knowledge of any worker assigned to that shift.
Options explained
- Edit Shift
- Opens the existing shift fields.
- Delete Shift
- Starts the shift deletion confirmation.
- Start / End and Breaks
- Define the timetable.
- Working Days and Calculation Rules
- Determine planned days and time calculations.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open Shifts and Groups.
- Select the relevant group.
- Find the shift in Shifts in Group.
- Click its edit icon.
- Review and modify the actual time or calculation fields.
- Click Save and verify the row values.
- To remove an obsolete shift, select its delete icon instead.
- Read the named confirmation and choose Delete only when the correct shift is selected.
Expected result
Editing updates the shift settings; deleting attempts to remove the selected shift.
Important notes
- Check dependent worker assignments before deleting a shift.
