How to Edit or Deactivate an Existing QR Point

A QR Attendance Point may need its name, location or active state updated as the workplace changes. In this document you will learn how to edit or deactivate an existing qr point in Attendico ATS Cloud.

Purpose and explanation

Editing the saved point is preferable to creating multiple duplicate public screens for the same workplace.

Before you begin

• A saved QR Attendance Point.
• Administrative access to the QR Code module.

Options explained

Name

Display point identity.

Location Address

Optional descriptive placement.

Active

Enables or disables the QR point.

Public Link

Address used by the public display.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open QR Code.
2. Select the relevant point or its edit icon.
3. Review its Name, Location and Active switch.
4. Update the required fields.
5. Click Save.
6. Return to the list and verify the displayed status.
7. If the point has a display in use, check that its browser page reflects the intended configuration.

Expected result

The existing point is updated without creating a new point.

Important notes

• If you disable a point, do not expect it to remain available for active scanning.
