With this document, we will help you understand worker creation errors and required fields in Attendico. The Worker form validates identity and scheduling fields before contacting the server. Additional backend errors can be returned when data or an uploaded image cannot be accepted.
What is this option for?
Use this when Save does not succeed, to distinguish incomplete setup from code conflicts or image processing errors.
Before you begin
- You have attempted to create or edit a worker.
- Check whether a group and at least one shift have already been created.
Understanding the controls
- First Name / Last Name
- Both required.
- Employee Code
- Exactly four digits other than 0000.
- Group / Current Shift
- Both required and must refer to saved data.
- External Company
- Required for external worker type.
- Photo
- Optional, but a chosen file may cause backend validation errors.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open the worker form and review the error notification.
- Check First Name and Last Name for empty values.
- Verify the Employee Code format and avoid using a code already assigned.
- Select the Group again and ensure Current Shift is not empty.
- If Worker Type is External, enter an External Company.
- If a photo was selected, try removing it temporarily when the error appears to involve image processing.
- Click Save again only after correcting the relevant field.
- If a server error persists, note the error text and request administrator support rather than repeatedly guessing values.
