How to Undo a One-Day Manual Shift Override

A manual override is a specific planned assignment that replaces the automatically derived shift for one worker on one date. Planner can remove that override so the usual schedule becomes visible again.

What is this option for?

Use this when a one-day change was made in error or is no longer needed, without altering the whole group rotation.

Before you begin

  • The worker already has a planned assignment for the date.
  • The Planner grid identifies the entry as a manual override and makes its reset control available.

Understanding the controls

Manual Override badge
Marks an assignment produced by a manual change.
Undo Manual Override
Removes the selected worker/date assignment.
Automatic Rotation
The normal schedule source after an override has been removed, where applicable.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open Planner and select the affected shift group.
  2. Set From and To to include the date that was changed.
  3. Select Show to load the current schedule.
  4. Locate the worker on the affected date.
  5. Find the manual override indicator and its undo/reset control.
  6. Select the reset control for that worker and date.
  7. Wait for Planner to reload.
  8. Verify the resulting assignment in the same row.
