In this document, you will learn how to configure automatic attendance exception emails in Attendico ATS Cloud. Attendance Notifications sends messages for late-arrival and not-arrived exceptions when outgoing email is available.
What is this feature for?
It reduces the need to inspect attendance screens continuously and uses separate recipient settings from monthly reports.
Prerequisites
- Access to Settings.
- Valid recipient address.
- SMTP service configured on the ATS server for actual sending.
Options and fields explained
- Attendance Notifications
- On/off switch for exception emails.
- Recipient Email
- Mailbox receiving messages.
- SMTP Banner
- Shows whether outgoing mail is ready.
- Frequency
- The UI describes a check every five minutes, with each case sent once.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open Settings.
- Inspect SMTP status.
- Enable Send late-arrival and not-arrived notifications.
- Enter a valid notification email address.
- Click Save.
- Review the configured values.
- Use Work Time Attendance to investigate any exception message.
Expected result
When enabled and SMTP is available, qualifying exceptions may generate emails; no exceptions means no email.
Important notes
- Addresses can be saved before SMTP is configured, but delivery cannot occur yet.
- Do not confuse exception alerts with monthly reports.
