How to Delete a Geolocation Location

A Geolocation location can include allowed zones and restrictions identifying which workers may use it. Deleting the location removes the configured location entry.

What is this option for?

Use deletion only if the location is no longer valid. If a site is temporarily unavailable, setting the location Inactive may be a better choice.

Before you begin

  • The location exists in Geolocation.
  • Check whether any active worksite or attendance setup still uses it.

Understanding the controls

Active
Allows the location to be enabled or disabled in its edit screen.
Delete
Removes the location after a browser confirmation.
Location Name
Shown in the deletion confirmation to reduce mistakes.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open Geolocation and identify the correct location row.
  2. Review Name, Address, Zones, Employees and Status.
  3. If you only need to temporarily stop usage, edit the location and set Active off instead.
  4. For permanent removal, select Delete on the correct location row.
  5. Read the confirmation mentioning the location name.
  6. Confirm only if the location is genuinely obsolete.
  7. Verify the row disappears from the list after a successful response.

What happens next?

The frontend calls the Geolocation deletion endpoint, reloads the list and displays success or failure.
