Each worker has a four-digit code used in the Attendico worker identity workflow. The administrator-facing creation form validates its format before saving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is this option for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use this guide when selecting a new code or troubleshooting an Employee Code error during creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a saved group with at least one shift.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Know which worker should receive the code and check for duplicates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding the controls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<dl>\n<dt><strong>Employee Code<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Exactly four digits; 0000 is rejected.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Suggested Code<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A convenience suggestion that should be reviewed.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Existing Worker Code<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Shown as read-only in the edit view.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Uniqueness<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>The backend rejects codes that already exist.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step-by-step instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Workers and select Create Worker.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the worker\u2019s first and last names.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the suggested Employee Code or enter a valid four-digit code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not use 0000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify that the code is not already used for another worker.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the required Group and Current Shift.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the remaining required fields and Save.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the code error appears, correct the code and submit again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After creation, reopen the worker and observe that the code is read-only.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new worker has an assigned four-digit code that is not editable once its saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do not mistake the employee code for an ATS Cloud administrator password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changing an established worker code is not a standard edit operation and may affect linked registration workflows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each worker has a four-digit code used in the Attendico worker identity workflow.
