Geolocation supports rectangles, circles, polygons and corridors. Each geometry defines an area where an eligible employee&#8217;s location-based check-in may be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is this feature for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choose a shape that fits the actual workplace rather than drawing an unnecessarily broad region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open a new or existing Geolocation location.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Position the map around the real site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Options and fields explained<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<dl>\n<dt><strong>Rectangle<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Rectangular boundary.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Circle<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Circular boundary.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Polygon<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Multi-point irregular boundary.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Corridor Width<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Width in metres around a line.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Edit Shapes \/ Remove Shapes<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Change existing map geometries.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step-by-step instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the map in the location editor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose Rectangle, Circle, Polygon or Corridor in the Draw toolbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Corridor, set the width in metres.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Draw the intended boundary on the map.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspect the resulting shape and remove mistakes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use Edit Shapes to adjust an existing zone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave at least one valid zone and click Save.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test the configured location with a supported device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expected result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The saved shapes become the permitted attendance regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this document you will learn how to draw and modify geolocation zones in Attendico ATS Cloud.
