Fixed terminal and biometric records can be edited after registration. The Devices page also allows a device registration to be removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose and explanation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use it for correcting administrative labels and location, or for retiring hardware that should no longer be associated with the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The device has already been registered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the exact device before editing or deleting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Options explained<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<dl>\n<dt><strong>Edit<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Opens editable fixed-device details.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Name and Location<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Administrative details that may be updated.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Delete<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Removes the selected device registration after confirmation.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Employee Phone<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Handled separately and not editable through the fixed-device editor.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step-by-step instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Devices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filter to Terminals or Biometric.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find the specific registered hardware entry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click its Edit button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change name or location-related details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Save and verify the updated row.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the device must be retired, use its delete action and read the confirmation carefully.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm removal only for the correct device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expected result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Updated registrations are reflected in Devices; removed devices no longer appear as active records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A device removal is not a firmware reset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this document you will learn how to edit or remove a registered device in Attendico ATS Cloud.
