When a worker is moved to another shift in Planner, the confirmation dialog offers different scopes. These choices determine whether the change affects one day or future scheduling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is this option for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the correct scope to avoid accidentally turning a temporary swap into a permanent worker assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workers and shifts already exist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planner is showing the correct group and date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding the controls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<dl>\n<dt><strong>Only This Day<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Applies an override to the chosen date only.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>From This Date, Continue Rotation<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Uses the new shift as the starting position for future rotation.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Keep This Shift From This Date<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Keeps the selected shift fixed from that date forward.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step-by-step instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Planner and select the group and period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find the employee on the intended date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drag the employee to the desired shift column.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read the Apply Change dialog before confirming.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Only This Day for a temporary one-day swap.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select From This Date, Continue Rotation if the worker should shift into a different starting position while still rotating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Keep This Shift From This Date when the worker should remain on the selected shift.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm the action and inspect the selected date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review subsequent dates if you selected either future scope.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A future option can change subsequent planned dates, not just the row being dragged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the one-day override reset procedure to remove a single manual assignment when supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When a worker is moved to another shift in Planner, the confirmation dialog offers different scopes.
